Φώτης Σιώτας

Fotis Siotas was born in Thessaloniki. By the time he was 6 years old he was already part of Children Choir of St Triada. When he was 9 he started taking violin lessons at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki. He has been a member of various local groups, including Podilates, Boomstate, Episkeptes, Evi Evan. 

In 1993 he started his collaboration with Sokratis Malamas and Thanasis Papakonstantinou, as part of their live bands and for their studio albums. He is also part of Babis Papadopoulos band. 

In 2005, Fotis and guitarist Kostas Pantelis formed the duet Sancho 003 and they have since released 2 albums (“We Βuy Gold” & “MUZGA”). In 2016 he formed the group “SOTIRES”. 

He has a discography credit in more than 100 albums, as a violinist, arranger and/or singer. 

In 2019 he released his first solo album “Ta deftera giati kourastikan ta prota”. The album lyrics are written by Thodoris Gkonis. 

He has collaborated with Aris Biniaris in the plays “Ksupna Vasili” (National Theatre of Greece), “The Dance of the Fire” (Municipal Theatre of Piraeus). He has also composed music for the dancing ensemble Sinequanon (Athens and Epidaurus Festival) and for dozens of other productions. 

His upcoming second album “Dyo Lathi”, once again with Thodoris Gkonis on lyrics, is expected to be released in 2022 by United We Fly.
